Both the Regular adult 42" and the small adult 38" overall diameter Canyon Hoops are ideal for adult exercise and just plain fun. The large size and weight make these hoops easy to initiate and maintain the hooping rotation. The smaller the circumference of the hoop the faster you will need to rotate the hoop to keep it up. The 38" hoop, with a total circumference of 120 inches and a natural weight of 1.5 lbs, will take a bit more effort to maintain rotation but will give you more of an aerobic workout. Remember, you lose weight when you use oxygen, get your heart rate up, and burn calories. The 42" hoop, with a circumference of 132 inches, has a natural weight just under 2.0 lbs and since it is larger and heavier it is a easier to rotate and might be better for beginners or larger body types. I have had people ask me for a 4,5, even 7 pound hoops because they need to lose a lot of weight. THE WEIGHT OF THE HOOP IS NOT THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR IN WEIGHT LOSS!!! Adding weight will add some resistance but will slow the hoop down reducing the aerobic benefit of hooping. The small adult hoop will accomodate 1 cups of water taking it to a maximum of 2 lbs, and the regular adult hoop will accomodate 2 cups water taking it to a maximum of 3.0 lbs.
